About Us

As a chapter, we work to open the barriers that block talented individuals from obtaining meaningful opportunities. We provide insight and guidance on topics such as resumes, interview preparation, networking tips, and much more. We host events, pipeline talent, and promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the Latinx community by encouraging our members to volunteer and engage with local charities.

History

ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) was the first national Latino professional association in the United States, established in Los Angeles in 1972. Today, it currently serves more than 95,000+ professional and student members across the country. Our members are assembled in 45 professional and more than 160 student chapters across America. ALPFA is well-positioned to assist America's Latinx owned and operated companies and Fortune 500 to recruit, retain, and develop professional Latinx/Hispanic talent in every sector of the U.S. and global economy.

Mission

ALPFA aims to empower and develop Latinx men and women as business leaders, in every sector of the global economy. Our chapter intends to create opportunities, add value, and build relationships for its members, the community, and its business partners. We value leadership through diversity in the global workforce and academia. We strive for our members to achieve professional growth, relationship building, service to the community, integrity, inclusiveness, and culture.
